Shippan Showhouse

Holly Sutton-Darr was invited to showcase her work at the Shippan Designer Show House, located on Ocean Drive West in Stamford, CT in the Fall of 2010. The
assignment given to Holly was to design a bedroom for a young boy. The
designer’s intention was to create a bedroom that a young child could grow with
for several years before having to redecorate. Since the show house is
located across the street from the water, Holly was inspired to work with a
nautical theme. The designer enlisted her teenage daughter,
McKenna, to hand-paint a wall mural depicting Life on Long Island Sound.
